The disciples are role models to Christians today who should be wiling to give up everything to follow Jesus’ rule
Many believed wealthy that they are part of the kingdom of God now through their actions
- but will be ultimately rewarded when the kingdom comes in its entirety when Jesus returns
Some suggest we should live with fewer possessions and less money so that others can be helped
—> that it is not wealth on its own that is a problem, but how it is used for good
