Q
  1. When installing a plumbing system in a residence or building in which frame construction is used, many journeymen lay out and cut all possible holes before installing any pipe. Why is this considered good installation procedure?
A

This procedure shows good organization on the part of the mechanic. Any unusual conditions or special problems are immediately discovered and can be acted upon, to eliminate unnecessary delay at a later time. Orders for all mateials needed can usually be completed at this time. When using this procedure, the journeyman has his job clearly pictured in his mind, and the installation usually progressed in an efficient manner.
