What are some illegal drugs?
Some illegal drugs are cocaine, cannabis, heroin, etc.
What is a drug?
A drug is any substance (chemical), which when take into the body alters it’s function. Drugs can be classified by their function of their legal status.
What are some legal drugs?
Some legal drugs are caffeine, prescription drugs, social/recreational drugs e.g. Alcohol, tobacco.
What are some short term effects of tobacco?
Some short term effects of tobacco are nausea and dizziness, reduction of oxygen delivered to tissues in our body, reduction of amount or urine passed, heart rate and blood pressure.
What are some long term effects of tobacco?
Some long term effects are yellow wrinkling stains on lips, teeth, fingers, etc. Increased chance of cancer, chance of various forms of heart diseases.
What are some short term effects of alcohol?
Some short term effects are reduced coordination, slower reflexes, loss of inhibition, impaired judgement, nausea, headaches, vomiting.
What are some long term effects of alcohol?
Some long term effects of alcohol are brain damage, heart related issues, depressions and memory loss.
What are some drug effects?
Some drug effects are hallucinations, cancer, heart issues, breathing rates, loss of concentration and nausea. They can also make people feel happy, eyes get red.
What are some signs that you’re addicted to drugs?
Some signs are massive physical change, constantly sick, lack of energy and willingness to do normal things, poor motivation and sleeping issues, depression and irritability.
What are some effects in others when using drugs?
Some effects on others are: passive smoking, being violent or assaulted, drink driving accidents, crime related victims, financial difficulties, emotional distress.
