Form used by ERC to present employee’s ERC issue to commanders

database of issues throughout the department
What are traditionally NON-ERC issues?
Pay issues, Job performance, disciplinary issues, Issues affecting one individual, workplace harassment, reclassification of promotional issues

Attend ERC Representative Mandatory Training Class

2 year term, or until next election or when they leave division

Through vote of the employees they represent OR ERC Coordinator

Thru writing via COC to COP
What is the ERS issue process before it reaches a supervisor and step one?
Consult with ERC rep, describe issue in non letterhead letter and resolution, ERC rep reviews to determine if its ERC issue
What is the step one of the ERC issue process?
Forwarding issue to next ranking supervisor over the issue. If its the division commander then ERC shall complete an IRR
How long do division commanders have to respond to a IRR from a step one ERC issue?
5 days
What is step 2 of the ERC issue process?
Commander renders solution and submits it for ERC rep and employee consideration
How long does the ERC rep and employee have to consider the Step 2 resolution of the ERC issue process before responding?
3 days
What shall occur if an employee agrees to the step 2 resolution of an ERC issue?
Mark agreeable on the IRR form and ERC rep will fax the form to ADR. No VITS #
What shall occur if an employee does not agree to the step 2 resolution of an ERC issue?
Mark not agreeable on IRR form and forward to ADR for more processing
What shall occur if a commander is unable to provide a resolution to step 2 of an ERC issue?
explain in IRR form and have ERC rep forward issue to Exec staff consideration, then forward form to ADR
When shall a VITS # be assigned?
Commander is unable to provide solution, employee does not agree with step 2, employee states issue is till unresolved, issue is presented to Exec staff during ERC Meeting AND ERC staff may create one on case by case basis
What shall the ADR do when receiving a IRR that deserves an VITS #?
Review for accuracy, assign VITS #, LT will forward employee correspondence, IRR form and letter requesting address to issue to executive staff member
