pg 6-7 Flashcards
Your potential customer does not have the opportunity to taste, feel, see,
hear or smell a service before the buying decision is made and this places some strain on the
marketing of your services.
Intangibility
Services cannot often be separated from the person offering the service. The act of choosing a
hairstylist is a good example of this characteristic. hair stylist
Inseparability
It is not possible to standardize the performance of several professionals offering the same
service.
Ability to Standardize
Services are highly perishable and they cannot be stored.
A practitioner who sits idle, sometimes just waiting for an appointment, loses time and business,
which is lost forever. ski lift
