What are the absolute contraindications to anticoagulation?
A
- active bleeding
- severe bleeding diathesis or platlet count < 20
- intracranial bleeding
- neurosurgery or occular surgery within 10 days

What are the relative contraindications to anticoagulation?
A
- mild to moderate bleeding diathesis or thrombocytopenia
- brain metastases
- recent major trauma
- major abdominal surgery in last 2 days
- GI or GU bleeding in last 14d
- endocarditis
- severe hypertension
- recent stroke
