Who did the Nazis use euthanasia on?
Biological - anyone who’s genes posed a threat to a healthy, pure German race such as Jews & people with hereditary illnesses.
Ideological - anyone threatening the political unity of the nations, such as communists.
Social - anyone who’s behaviour conflicted with the norms of the national community such as the workshy.
Why did the Nazis use Euthanasia?
The nazis used Euthanasia because Hitler favoured the removal of what he saw as feeble, inferior people in order to achieve the German Aryan race he wanted.
How did the Nazis enforce the removal of these people classified as inferior?
Law’s passed allowing compulsory sterilisation of the hereditarily ill to prevent bearers of such genes from passing them on to children. Additionally by 1944 200,000 people deemed mentally & physically ill had been murdered. The regime became harsher.
