How beliefs about life after death affect the lives of Catholics:
Many Catholics believe only if they have lived a good life will they be allowed into heaven.
Living a good Catholic life means following the two greatest commandments - love of God and love of neighbour
In the parable of the Sheep and Goats Jesus said Catholics should feed the hungry and in the Good Samaritan to help anyone in need therefore Catholics work for CAFOD, SVP.
Catholics believe that sin prevents people from going to heaven, so Catholics avoid committing sins.
Why Catholics believe in life after death:
Jesus rose from the dead as recorded in the bible
The bible and the creeds say there is life after death
The church teaches in life after death
The soul is something that can never die
