GLORY- literally and/or figuratively these explorers stuck their flags in the ground to claim land for the mother country and extend their empires. They received fame from home
GOD- the PROTESTANT REFORMATION(esp. Martin Luther+Henry Vll) in Europe led to a split in the Catholic Church(Protestants and Catholics) the pope sent missionaries(from Spain, France and Portugal) to convert the First Nations to the Carolina faith, fearing a loss of people of the Protestant denomination.

A

An economic system whereby the nations of Europe would acquire colonies (like in North and South America) for their natural resources. All of the products and the profit would be sent back to the mother country. The negative part of this was the trans-Atlantic slave trade that brought millions of enslaved people from West Africa.
