The authorizing officer may authorize clearing the tag by marking block 20b “RA Not Available”.

When a tag is missing during an audit, what action and procedure must be done with the missing tag?

A

Stop all affected work and take appropriate action to ensure continued protection of personnel and equipment until replacement tag is posted. Verify equipment is in correct alignment. Replacement tag for a missing tag will be assigned the same number as the original tag.
