the same thong as solving crimes but you use it now in conservation. For example, we use barcoding to identify species

it chugs along suttly and over large periods of time. Its all based on probability
Weather vs climate
weather tends to be short term changes. Fronts, seasons, topography change the weather. If your high up in the mountains you get colder temperatures. Weather tends to be local. Climate is all of those things averaged over time. Ex is the average high summer temperatures for a particular time period. Aerosols (particles in the air) go into climate

big ones are co2,ch2, h2o. Without them, our average temperature on the planet would be about 20degrees F instead of 60

Irradiance- solar output. Sun can heat things up
Anthropogenic
take the natural greenhouse effect and makes it stronger
MVP
minimum viable populations. It refers to the smallest number of organisms you can have forma sustainable population. Its the population you need to not have inbreeding depression
