What may be seen 2* to ATE (d/t heart fialure) in cats on workup? Why?

A

> Hyperkalaemia

  • ATE -> ischaemia of the hindlimbs -> cell necrosis
  • K+ released from cells -> K+ toxicity
  • Caridac arrythmias seen on ECG = “Tented” T waves and loss of P waves
