IL-3
Growth factor for hematopoietic cells. Important for the production of myeloid progenitor cells.
IL-10
Anti-inflammatory, blocks the generation of Th1 CD4+ T cells.
IL-12
Important factor in inducing the production of Th1 CD4+ T cells. Induced IFNγ production by Th1 CD4+ T cells and NK cells. Enhances NK cell and CD8+ cytotoxic T cell activity.
IL-8
Chemokine that functions primarily as a chemoattractant and activator of neutrophils.
IL-7
Growth factor for T cell and B cell progenitors.
IL-1
Causes fever and acute inflammation. Activates endothelium to express adhesion molecules.
IL-4
Promotes naïve CD4+ T cell differentiation to Th2 cells. Induces B cell class switching to IgE.
IL-6
Causes fever and stimulates production of acute-phase proteins.
IL-5
Induces eosinophil formation and differentiation. Enhances B cell class switching to IgA.

Signaling chains of the TCR.

Signaling chains of the BCR.
CD19
Part of the B cell co-receptor with CD21 and CD81. Critical for regulating B cell development, activation, and differentiation.
CD8
Co-receptor for MHC I-restricted T cell activation.
CD44
Involved in lymphocyte activation and homing to lymphoid tissues. Important marker of early T cell development in the thymus.
CD25
IL-2 receptor protein. By itself it is just the α-chain (low affinity) receptor. When complexed with β and γ chains it becomes a high affinity receptor.
