A

Size-head circumference, norm/micro/macrocephalic
Shape- caput succedaneum (area of edema over the presenting part of the head, common, crosses suture lines); cephalohematoma (sub periosteal collection of blood; does not cross suture lines)

A

palpate ant and post
open, soft, flat-normal to feel pulsation
tense fontanelle may indicate increased ICP/infection or screaming baby

A

normal-consists of 2 arteris and one
single umbilical artery can be assoc with chromosomal defects
erythem, prulent drainage = SEPSIS! omphalities and need to tx emergently
