What happens to licences when entitlement of a patent application changes?

Answer 1

If at least one original applicant remains: any licences remain in force.

If all applicants change: all licences lapse on registration of the new applicants.

Question 2

When all applicants change in entitlement proceedings - what can the old applicants / ex-licencees do?

Answer 2

If, before registration of the reference, they:

acted in good faith in working the invention, or making serious and effective preparations to do so

then

on making a request within 2m, be entitled to a licence granted for a reasonable period and on reasonable terms.
