Why should you avoid duplicating simple objects
duplicated objects will have a diffrent history that objects added from the shelf tools
what does viewport antialising do
it smooths out jagged lines in the viewport
what does viewport ambient occlusion do
adds basic shadows to make the shapes in the viewport more readable
what is hard surface modeling for
human made objects such as machinary, buildings and furniture
what is organic modeling for
naturlay occoring items, such as characters, plants, rocks, cloth and other items with no predictable patterns.
how are hard surface models animated
by moving whole objects in relation to others, like machinary
how are soft bodies animated
they can bend and deform like a character
how do you solo the selected object
by using the isolated selected option in the viewport menu
how can you switch between vertex, edge, face and object selection mod
right click on the mesh, and select the desired option from the pie menu
how can you move the pivot point
to move the pivot point press d and you can move and rotate it using the resulting gismo
how can you change the size of the pivot point
by using pluss and minus on the number pad
how can you snap the pivot point
to snap the pivot point hold down v while moving the pivot point to snap it too faces, edges and vertices.
