My colleague invited me over for a dinner party on Sunday night. he lives in Tokyo, but I don’t go there very often. So, I decided to go shopping first.
I had never been to his home. So, I needed to use the navigation app on my smartphone to get there.
At around 5:00, I was heding to his home. Then, I noticed a low battery warning on my phone.
I arrived at the station nearest his home and opened my navigation app. Suddenly, the screen went black. My battery was dead. I had no way to get to the party.
Yesterday, I turned on my computer to check my email. There was a new mail in my inbox. It looked like it was from an Internet shopping service that I often use.
The subject heading said, “Confirmation required.” I opened the email. It said, “Click this liing to confirm your order.”
I hadn’t made an order. I was confused, so I clicked the link. A moment later, I realized my mistake. Something was downloading onto my computer.
It was a virus. My computer stopped working. Luckily, I had made a backup, and I could recover my data.
Because the weather was nice, I took my bike to school. It is a short ride.
When I was riding, my phone rang suddenly. Without thinking, I took out my phone and checked it quickly.
Just at the moment I was looking at the screen, am an came from around a corner. i put on my brakes and slowed down a little. But unfortunately, i hit him.
He was knocked over, but luckily, he was not injured. He kindly accepted my apology. I decided not to use a smartphone while riding anymore.
I had a paper due for class the next day. I was going to stay up late to finish it.
At 3:00 am, I had almost finished. So, I put my head down on my desk for a short break.
The next thing I knew, it was morning. But I still had time to finish my paper. The screen of my computer was dark, so I moved my mouse to waki it up.
To my horror, the document was blank! I must have accidentally deleted it. There was no buckup, and my whole paper was lost.
