EFB OVERHEAT/FIRE

A

If you notice your iPad and or battery are extremely hot or the EFB catches fire, conduct the following
Immediately remove external power source (external battery, if applic)
External power source……remove
Shut down the iPad
On/off, sleep/wake button (on top unit)…..hold
Red power off bar………………….Swipe from left to right
If fames are visible
Immediately isolate the iPad (floor of the flight deck between seats is recommended) and use the fire extinguisher on the flames
Do not smother the fire or cover with ice
Do not under any circumstance attempt to turn the iPad back on
