1
Q

State net owns first law

Q

Give an example of Newton’s first law

A

A book sitting on a table will remain sitting at the table unless an applied net force moves it, throwing a ball at constant velocity will remain in constant velocity until starts to decelerate or if something pushes it and it accelerates

Q

State Newton’s second law

A

The acceleration of a body is directly proportional to the net force impressed on it in the direction of the net force and inversely proportional to the mas of the body

Q

If the acceleration of an object is zero are no forces acting on it

A

No there is still gravity and the normal force but there just isn’t any net force that is making it move and accelerate

Q

If an object is moving is it possible for the net force acting on it to be zero

A

Yes as long as there’s no friction or applied force pushing or stopping the object and the object is traveling at constant velocity yet it is still moving

Q

State Newton’s third law

A

When on object exerts force on a second object the second object exerts an equal in magnitude and opposite in direction force on the first object

Q

When a ball is dropped on the floor it bounces back up what force is needed to make it bounce up and what object exerts this for d and what law is this

A

Newton’s law so the floor will make it bounce back up bc of the normal force that push the ball down then the normal force of the floor will push it back up making it bounce, the amount of force and mass exerted by the ball will be exerted back to it by the floor

Q

If a small car crashes into a large truck which one will feel the greater force

A

It will be the same because of teh third law where the force exerted by teh little car to the truck will be exerted back by teh truck to the car

Q

If a man hits a puck across the ice name and give action reaction by using the three laws

A

3 law: contact between luck adn stick stick exerts force on puck puck exerts back the same force making the stick come back
2 law: the puck goes to the right as the stick hit the puck to the right even though mass of puck is down to the ground
1 law: if ice is frictionless puck will move at constant velocity or before the puck is hit it is in rest until the net force exerted by the stick makes it move and accelerate
