A

miracles are actions carried out by God that break a natural law

what is a natural law?

A

something that happens so often within the world that it would be considered the working of nature if it happened directly, or to failed to happen when it was expected to do so
e.g. the sun rising in the morning

how can disease relate to miracles?

A

if someone’s healed of a disease and there is no other explanation for it, then it may be convincing enough to lead people to believe that God did it and must exist

A

believers say that God is unchanging (immutable) and eternal and performs miracles because, as an omni-benevolent and omnipotent being, he wants the best for his creation

A

there could be other, better explanations for what appears to be a miracle
sometimes a person may recover from an illness unexpectedly
sometimes apparent miraculous events are simply coincidences
