What is an MI
A
A heart attack is usually caused by a blood clot. Coronary artery or other ateries may be clogged with deposits of cholesterol (plaques). In an MI the atherosclerosis plaque ruptures in the wall => a thrombus forms this can detach to form an emboli. This blood clot blocks circulation and leads to a starvation of oxygen and nutrients

A
GTN= glyceryl trinitrate is a drug used to treat angina pain, it relaxes muscles in the artery wall causing blood vessels to dilate.
