Acadians Scattered

A

The Seven Years War ended with the Treaty of Paris in which Britain took control of almost all of Frances claims in North America, including Acadia. The British made the Acadians take an oath of neutrality, which was okay for a while. But when a war was likely the British made the Acadians take an oath of allegiance, but the Acadians wouldn’t take it. The British didn’t like that so they deported the Acadians

New France Falling

A

The Seven Years War ended in the Treaty of Paris, in which Britain took control of almost all of France’s claims in North America. The British took control of Acadia and set some rules in place.

Describe the History Teller:

Deaths of Wolfe & Mountcalm

A

The Battle on the Plains of Abraham was a turning point in the war. In was in this battle that Britain took control of the France military fort, Quebec. Also in this battle, General Wolfe and the Marquis de Montcalm died. Wolfe was killed right on his horse by gunshot, and Montcalm didn’t make it till morning.

Britain Rules

A

After Britain gained control of all France’s claims in North America, they controlled almost all of North America except the land France kept and the First Nations land. They struggled to find balance with keeping everybody happy and doing what was best for them
