Scrotal support
What is Fournier’s Gangrene?
Fsciitis of Scrotum, groin and perineum
Imm compromised or diabetic pts
What is the Clinical Presentation of Fournier’s gangrene?
Diffuse enlargement, erythema of scrotal wall, necrotic, or ecchymotic patches
High rate of sepsis
What is the Tx of Fournier’s gangrene?
Broad spec Abtx covering aerobic and anaerobic organisms
Repeated surgical drainage
What is a hydrocele?
Fluid collection between parietal and visceral layers of the tunica vaginalis
Painless and transiluminates
What is a sign of Congenital or infant hydrocele?
Fluctuates throughout the day
Tx by high ligation of the hernia sack
How is Adult or acquired Hydrocele treated?
Only if painful
Incision in scrotum. take out hydrocele and close up
WHat is the sign of a spermatocele?
A double testicle sign from having a fluid buildup behind the testicle
What is a varicocele?
Abnormal dilation of veins with bad valves and can cause infertility. More common on the left side
What can happen in trauma to the testicle?
Rupture of the tunica albuginea in blunt trauma
Causes a hematocele
