Q

Write a note on dietary fibre (source function, how it works in body)

A

Fibre is a very important part of our diets. It’s function is to prevent constipation. When fibre is in the body, it mixes with water and gets bulky. This allows peristalsis (a muscular movement) to work, preventing constipation. Water in the diet is just as important as fibre as the work together. Sources of fibre are brown bread, brown rice, and fruit and vegetables
