A

Somerset, Northumberland and Clifford killed. King is injured and capture by Yorkists- taken to St. Albans abbey for safety. King becomes sick again.

Margaret becomes leader of the Lancastrians.

Peace breaks down

A

Causes:

  • Warwick’s rebellion: refuses to follow king’s order, Yorkists lose support.
  • Yorkist’s removed from government.
  • lack of trust between 2 sides: both building large armies.
  • King’s health

Battle of Blore Heath- Salisbury intercepted by Lord Audley and kills him.

Battle of Ludford Bridge- Lancastrians win, Warwick and Edward fled to Calais, York and 2nd son go to Ireland.
