Q

What are the requirements for natural selection to occur?

A

Variety, Competitions, a Beneficial trait, and Inheritance. There must be variety in a species, like different beak types. A competition must determine that not all members have offspring at the same rate. A beneficial trait allows some members to have more offspring. The beneficial trait must be genetic to be inherited by the next generation.
