Q

Microglossia

A
  • Tongue is resting between the lower teeth—it is abnormally small.
  • Causes lack of development of the jaw (the mandible)
  • This affects the development of the mandibular arch.
  • Tongue usually helps spread the mandibular arch out but if the tongue is small the teeth move in.
