  2. Progressive degeneration (protein breakdown) and necrosis of skeletal muscle fibers & tissues
    - Sarcoma do not attach properly

  1. Duchene MD (most common form)
    - Recessive X-linked
    - Affects 1:3500 male births
    - Females usually asymptomatic if carrier (or milder symptoms)
  2. Becker MD
