What things should be included on the food label by law?

A

How to store the product,
All ingredients that are in the product,
The name of the product and what it is,
The weight and volume,
A used by date for high risk foods or best before date for other foods,
Cooking instructions, e.g. The requirements of cooking temperatures,
The country it comes from e.g. It is made in the UK.

Nutritional value:

A

The nutrition value should also be placed on the product as it may have nuts or diary that many people are severely allergic to.
On the nut room facts they should be coloured coded to show what is high (red), low (green), medium (orange).
