Lymphatic - Immune System Flashcards

1
Q

What is the primary of the lymph system?

A

• transportation

  • carries fluid away from the tissue
  • carries wastes away from the tissue

•Absorption

  • absorbs fats and transports fat to blood (laterals)
  • stores blood in the spleen
  • Erythrocytosis

• Protection

  • filters waste out of blood
  • destroys bacteria
  • antibody production

• Manufacture

  • lymphocytes
  • monocytes
  • erythrocytes

Q
