• Task is to assess on a comprehensive, objective, open and transparent basis the scientific, technical and socioeconomic information relevant to understanding the:
  (1) scientific basis of risk of human-induced
  climate change,
  (2) its potential impacts and
  (3) options for adaptation and mitigation
