Cold air replacing warm air at the surface.

High CB clouds. Heavy rain and bad VIS

Decreases as it approaches and after passage it rises and settles at a higher value
What happens to the wind with a cold front?
Backs and increases as it approaches and veers with passage.
What’s the whether like behind a cold front?
Usually good VIS with some isolated CU due to that the cold air warms as meets warmer air
What is a warm occlusion?
Cold front that catches up with a warmfront where the air that’s catching up is relatively warmer than the cold air mass ahead of the warm front

Point of occlusion usually has heavy weather due to extra lifting occuring
What’s a cold occlusion?
A cold front that catches up with a warmfront where the air that’s catching up is colder than the cold air ahead of the warmfront. It digs under and lifts the warmfront up including the cold air ahead of the warm front
