A

The allies were winning as the USSR pushed Germans back on the Eastern Front and Allies drove Germans out of North Africa and liberated Italy. Stalin continued to press for invasion of North-West Europe of Allies as Japan began island hopping.

A

Russia to move border into Poland and keep land seized in 1939, so Polish would gain territory from Germany.
In 1943 10,000 Polish corpses were found in Katyn Forest near Smolensk.

Failure of LoN made Allies hope to form international organisation to solve disputes and gain collective security. Roosevelt’s fears of English imperialism were only issue. He was a mediator.
