What is the difference between manager and leader
manager have short-term view and leader have long-term view
Manager is kind of administrator and leader is kind of innovator
What is power
The ability to influence another person
What is dependency

What is influence
The process of affecting the thoughts, behavior and feelings of another person.
What is authority
The right to influence another person
What is reward power
It exists when one person believes another person can and will provide rewards.
What is legitimate power
It exists when one person believes that another person has the right to influence him. It comes from the position in hierarchy of company.
What is referent (charismatic) power
It exists when one person find another personally attractive and wants to be associated with that person
What is expert power
It exists based on special skills or knowledge.
What is resource power
It exists when one person believes that another person has desired resources and is willing to share it.
What is interpersonal power
The ability to influence others and maintain control over your own fate.
What is coercive power
Agent’s ability to cause an unpleasant experience for a target.

Power that comes from access and control over information.
