How does a rain shadow creates a tropical desert?
A
When air containing moisture from the sea reaches the higher ground, it rises to pass over it. Air expands and cools down, the dew point is reaches and the clouds are being formed. Rain falls on the higher ground. Descending air is compressed so warms and its relative humidity reduces. Therefore no rain
