What is the effect on Kc if concentrations changed?

A

Kc remains constant as long as temperature isconstant

adding something to the bottom of the equilibrium law expressions makes it larger

to restore the situation, what was added to the bottom line reacts, restoring the concentration on the bottom line, thus increases the value in the top lime

the combined effect is to restore the fraction to the original value of Kc

A

equilibrium expression is always in the form products / reactants

so:

if Kc is is greater than 1, the equilbrium position is to the right, vice versa
