A

Information from the cingulate cortex travels to the parahippocampal cortex, then to the hippocampus, then along the fornix to the mamillary bodies of the hypothalamus which then go to the anterior thalamus and then to the cingulate cortex

A

Receives input from temporal lobe about new stimulus (pleasure/pain/boring) to determine quality of pain so it can be stored in the memory, or stimulate fear response

How does the amygdala elicit a fear response?

A

Electric stimulation of the amygdala sends commands to the hypothalamus and then to the reticular formation which then activates reticulospinal tracts and therefore the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight)

What is Kluver-Bucy syndrome?

A

Bilateral removal of the tips of the temporal lobe (amygdala) causing a loss of all sense of fear in animals
