General adaptation syndrome (sequence bodily changes)
1. general alarm reaction:
-stimuli-senses sent->brain
-if threat, brain activates 3 body systems
..central nervous, autonomic (visceral), endocrine (hormonal)= prepare flight / fight

  1. stage resistence:
    body defenses activated
  2. stage exhaustion:
    body demands overwelm ability->return-homeostasis
