3 phases-griefing

  1. protest phase:
    reluctant accept loss
    dazed
    behaviour symptoms (fear being alone, sleep disturbance, appetite change, depression)
  2. despair + grief:
    emotions (sad, cry, loneliness)
    anger / guilt
    unable settle in school
  3. acceptance:
    view situation realistically
    look to future
