Push or Pull
Affects of Forces
Start moving ,move faster ,move slower,stop moving, change direction and change shape.
Thrust
When an object is moving towards a direction.
Friction
A force between two surfaces that are in contact.
Gravity
It pulls us towards the ground.
A) Forces work alone
B) They come in twos reaction and action forces
B) e.g. thrust and drag.
Air resistance
It is the force that stops us from falling all the way down.
Up thrust
It keeps us afloat in the water.
Water resistance
It is the force that makes it hard for us to swim.
Drag
It is the force that pulls us back while we are moving.
Lift
It is the force that keeps objects in the air e.g. Air balloons.
Weight
It is the force that pulls us down.
Unbalanced forces
When one force is stronger than it’s reaction forces. This is how objects move otherwise they would still.
Balanced forces
When two forces are action against each other in equal size.
What would happen without forces?
We would be floating around and not be able to touch anything.
