Q

Steps of active transport

A
  1. ions move and attach to carrier proteins which fit into them
  2. Then the ATP lose a phosphate to move onto the Carrier protein and makes ATP into ADP
  3. this phosylation changes the shape of the carrier proteins tertiary structure and releases the ion on the opposite side against the concentration gradient
  4. Then the carrier protein returns to its original shape
