Q

Describe a atrium

A

Thin muscular wall to push blood into lower chamber

Right side receives blood from the body through the vena cava ( Deoxygenated )

receives blood form the lungs through the pulmonary vein ( Oxygenated )

Q

Describe the ventricles

A

Thick muscular wall , Lv a lot thinner

Right ventricle sends blood to lungs through pulmonary artery

Left ventricle sends blood to whole body via aorta which splits into smaller arteries

Wall made of special cardiac muscle ( regulates contraction )
