Moisture associated skin damage wound care

A
  • typical dressings are generally not effective for MASD in skin folds
  • polyester silver cloth strips are placed in affected folds and secured with small piece of tape to wick moisture away * ointments/powders may alternatively be used
  • MASD under wound dressings can be addressed with moisture absorption &/or more frequent dressing changes
