- section 46 (1986 Education act) , education should promote family values.

why were these laws put in place?
due to books such as “jenny lives with Eric and Martin” to help kids undestand other children who are brought up by same sex parents.

1985 - the film My beautiful laundrett, which included a love affair between two males was nominated for an oscar and a BAFTA.
