What happens in the mouth?

A
  1. The teeth grind larger pieces of food into smaller pieces of food.
  2. The canine teeth rip and tear your food in the mouth.
  3. The liquid that is released from the salivary glands is called saliva. This moistens the food so it’s easy to swallow.
