A

Gently retract foreskin
Inspect glans for abnormalities
Inspect ventral and dorsal surfaces of the shaft

How do you examine the external urethral meatus?

A

Gently use thumb and forefinger to open the meatus
If patient complains of discharge elicit sign by milking along the shaft/get them to do it
Take swabs if necessary
Replace foreskin

How do you examine the scrotum and testes?

A

Inspect, pull up and inspect underneath
Using thumb and first two fingers and gently palpate
Palpate the epididymis on posterolateral surface
Note size and consistency of testes
Roll vas deferens between finger and thumb
