  1. Practice
  2. Feedback
  3. Environment
  4. Continually look for ways to improve quality of life
  5. Continually look for ways to motivate your patient
  6. Keep in mind cognition and attention levels
  7. Don’t speak down to your patients
  8. Decrease their dependence on you
  9. Impossible to tell patient how to do everything
  10. What are your patient’s goals? Why are they here?
  11. End the day with success

  4. Goals are different: Esp w/a progressive disorder, goals might be maintenance; Centered around QOL, mobility, decrease pain

A
  • Massed = less breaks; more functional, improves endurance

- Spaced practice (distributed practice) = more less breaks; better for learning the right movement
