Going to:
- used to talk about intentions. Sometime it is used to talk about plans and arrangements based on intentions ( but the present continuous is more commonly used for talking about arrangements)
We are going to visit our friends in New Zealand next winter

-used to talk about future events and actions based on present evidence , especially when we can see that the event is about to happen
The way Brazil are playing at the moment , they are going to win the match

Be + infinitive

-be + infinitive is formal
-Sex in rules or instructions or to talk about official plans. It is particularly common in new reports
