A

mask

eye protection

What are other precautions we can take to minimise exposure to different types of infection?

A

Contact precaution - side room + standard precautions

Droplet - side room + mask

Airborne - neg pressure side room, FFP3

When is protective isolation required?

A

Patients who are profoundly immunosuppressed e.g bone marrow transplant

Most common source of infecion is their own gut flora, damaged by chemotherapy. But at risk of exogenous infection from other patients/ staff

A
