Temporal region headache, may have pelvic and shoulder girdle pain and stiffness, diplopia, blurring, visual loss, jaw claudication and systemic sx

How to dx GCA

A

Raised ESR and CRP, TEMPORAL ARTERY BIOPSY
mild anaemia, -ve autoabs,
May also do USS

A

Predni 40-60mg, reduce gradually
Can give Tocilizumab or metho, aza
GIVE osteo proph with predni
